JAR: Re The Forest Canopy: As close to realism as you should ever get, an abstracted landscape with such an obvious light source is truley astounding and inspiring, thanks for sharing john.
Attaboy2: Re Warms the Heart: This reminds me of distant lands with fairies flitting where magic abounds.
GisselleP: Re Warms the Heart: Your use of color is masterful makes me want to dance with joy...
Gottabee: Re: Bella Dancer: Wow beautiful and exciting, those reds are amazing!
Corby:Re:The River: I think you took your developing concept and BROUGHT IT! You are indeed King of the Fauves. I reeeeealy like it. Your use of color used in such a way as to preserve the reality of your image through all the abstract chaos is masterful.
Hans:Re:Dancing Meadow: Bright and happy painting, made me smile. Very original!
Crazywoman:Re:The Water Feature: You might make me a lover of abstract work as I am liking your work more and more. To me this is what abstract art is supposed to be. I can figure it out. Very nice!
Corby:Re:The Water feature: Just enough abstraction to make it ripple with movement and color...not enough to obscure it entirely.
Margaretta: Re:Dancing Meadows: Absolutely gorgeous technique
Eratehil: Re:Moonbeams: I like it too; nice work! It feels like an abstracted landscape to me, rather than a nonrepresentational piece, so I've interpreted it that way. Looks like you've done a very good job of creating depth to me. The warm colours are reallly coming forward nicely, and the greyed greens are pushing back into the background well too!
Gal1952:Re:Moonbeams: Magical landscape, I can imagine unicorn drinking at the base of the waterfalls! I like it!
Yard Dog:Re:The Grove: I don't mind walking on flowers...hahaha.... I see a series of subtle swirls that all lead me back to the back of the treeline....thus the path...? nice composition and quieter colors....no doubt because we are in the shade.... and yet it still has the excitement that seems to be your style.....that I'm liking a lot.....yd
Creativdee:Re:Confetti Woods: What a fun painting!!! It certainly shows the happy side of nature! Not your run of the mill landscape === truly art!
Yard Dog:Re Confetti Woods: as one of those chained to reality..... I so envy your freedom..... I think the composition is great....there is just enough of everything...in just the right places.... your style is unmistakable...and very pleasing....yd
La:Re:Confetti Island: holy cow man! this 'wow' at this size will attract attention from down the block! i have visions of it hanging in a large lobby of a fancy hotel or corporate office! must indeed be incredible irl, bravo and yeah, go get that even larger canvas – giver!
Spyderbaby:Re:Crush: I think I would never get tired of looking at this.
Mikey:Re:Confetti Girl with Handbag: John, I love your approach to painting here and if this is part of a whole body of work look forward to seeing more.
