About the Artist John E. Metcalfe
John has always been interested in art and design.
Studying architectural and mechanical drafting in Sarasota Fl, he laid the foundation and developed his amazing eye and skills for perspective and color. John started painting in 2001 and works almost full time as an artist with nearly 500 paintings in corporate and private collections. A love of the abstract, I paint completely from memory and imagination, or my impression of your personal photographs, resulting in a pleasing happy art, in an original form, usually in bold colors and capturing a mood or impression or subtleness of a moment!
